We have been in the business of defending motorists for 20 years.  Our
experience is your primary benefit in seeking our services.

Our objective is to provide a thoughtful, considerate defense to every
matter we take on.  Within the bounds of the law we leave no stone
unturned in pursuit of a favorable result for our clients.

Mr. Parks began defending motorists before the DMV traffic and safety
hearing offices in Spring of 1995 as counsel for a small firm
responsible for a union contract covering professional drivers.  Since
there is no plea bargaining in New York City traffic courts, trial skills are
finely honed.   At the same time Mr. Parks became responsible for
handling cases before the New York City Taxi & Limousine
Commission offices, and since that time has handled thousands of
cases for individuals and companies, and as designated or de facto in
court counsel for a variety of law offices, union contracts, legal plans
and industry representatives.  Mr. Parks also handles and has
represented clients on a variety of administrative, criminal and civil

At this time the vast majority of trials are handled personally by Mr.
Parks, with a smaller volume handled by assistants counseled or
trained by Mr. Parks  where circumstances demonstrate the familiarity
of the particular assistant with a local court would inure to the benefit of
the client.

Attorney Background (by: Mitchell Parks, Esq.)  -

In the early 1990s after completing college I left a career in banking to
complete an MBA and then attended law school.  I completed my
JurisDoctor degree in 2 1/2 years (instead of the usual 3 or 4 years)
graduating near the top of my class.  While in law school I became an
intern at the Los Angeles District Attorney's office where I prosecuted
criminal cases in their early stages, gaining early courtroom experience
as a certified law student.  

Following that I relocated to New York City, and after passing my bar
exams, I was admitted to the bars of the States of New Jersey,
California (currently inactive) & New York, all within the same year I

In 1995 I was invited to join a small firm with offices in Manhattan and
Bronx as part of a team of 4 lawyers covering defense of minor public
offenses, primarily traffic and taxi commission hearings.  After 3 year
and some minor changes in the firms structure, I amicably parted and
struck out as a solo practitioner concentrating in the same field,  
serving the growing client base.

I opened my small Manhattan neighborhood law office in 1999.

I became adept at finding my way around the often draconion avenues
of adminstrative law practice.  In primarily representing For Hire Vehicle
(FHV) operators, and Commercial Drivers (CDL), I became increasingly
active in the Association of Motor Vehicle Trial Attorneys (AMVTA), now
serving as Secretary, an officer of that association, where I regularly
attend meetings and assist in the preparation of material focussed on
cajolling authorities into improving the Traffic adjudication process.  As
such a basic element of resolution of charges of public offenses the
hope is that we could improve public confidence in our system of
justice in general.
